Welcome to my web portfolio. My name is Marek Rudowski.
I’m a draughtsman, illustrator, graphic designer, comic book and games creator. Besides that I’m a PhD in chemistry working at the Wrocław University of Technology, Poland.
I started working as a freelancer graphic artist in 2003, although my carrier as a draughtsman started about 1990 when I sold my first illustrations to my class colleagues in the grade school. Since then I have worked for several software industries, publishers and game developers. I have published over a dozen comic books (together more than 250 pages) and tens of illustrations for books and magazines, designed characters and environment for games and comic books, developed products like web pages, logos, posters and icons. I had three exhibitions of my work and I led a lecture about the creation of a comic book.
Graphics and science, different as they may seem, have one thing in common. Both feed on imagination and creativity. My chemical education has developed in me diligence, precision and the ability to quickly learn new things. These features allowed me to expand my graphical skills to new horizons. I’m independent at work and at the same I can cooperate with other team members. I concentrate on the needs of the clients but don’t hesitate to support the projects with my original ideas.
