In 2011 I was hired to drew a comic page for a Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza based on an article about a former alcoholic living in an arbor in the city allotment. My job was to convert the journalist text (written by Witold Gałązka) into comic strip and illustrate it. The restriction were that it should fit on one page and be in black & white. I was given five days for the work. Initially the comic page was planned to occupy one quarter of the newspaper page but after seeing my interpretation of the article the editor decided to give it a full A3 format page.
The whole page was drawn from scratch on the computer using tablet and Photoshop software.
